Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a wedding event?
Open the app, tap "Create Event", enter the bride and groom names, select a date, choose a venue, and pick an invitation design. You can then add your guest list with companion counts and personal notes.
How do I add guests to my event?
Go to your event, tap the guest list, and tap "Add Guest". Enter the guest name, number of companions, and optional notes. You can also bulk-add multiple guests at once. Each guest automatically gets a unique QR code for check-in.
How does QR code check-in work?
Each guest receives a unique QR code in their digital invitation. At the event, set up one or more verifier devices (phones or tablets) at the entrance. The verifier joins the event using a join code, then scans guest QR codes to check them in. The system tracks arrivals in real-time.
What is a verifier device?
A verifier device is any phone or tablet used at the door to check in guests. The event organizer shares a 6-character join code. Anyone with the code can open the verifier mode in the app, scan QR codes, and check guests in. Multiple devices can work simultaneously.
Can I edit or delete a guest after adding them?
Yes. Go to your event's guest list, tap on any guest to edit their name, companion count, or notes. You can also swipe to delete a guest. Changes are reflected immediately on all verifier devices.
Does the app support Arabic?
Yes. Da'wati fully supports both Arabic and English. You can enter bride and groom names, venue names, addresses, and invitation messages in both languages. The app interface also adapts to your device language.
Is Da'wati free to use?
Yes, Da'wati is free to download and use. Create events, manage guests, and use the QR check-in system at no cost.
How do I change my account name or email?
Go to Settings in the app and tap on your profile. You can update your display name at any time. Your email address is linked to your account and is used for OTP login.
I'm not receiving my verification code (OTP).
Check your spam/junk folder. Make sure you entered the correct email address. If the issue persists, wait a few minutes and try again. You can request up to 5 OTPs per hour. Contact support if the problem continues.
