- Device Information: Device type and push notification tokens for sending notifications.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your wedding events and guest lists.
- To enable QR code guest verification at your events.
- To send you verification codes (OTP) for account login.
- To send push notifications about your events (if enabled).
- To provide real-time event statistics and scan history.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on cloud servers with encryption in transit (TLS/SSL). We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Access to your event data is restricted to you (as the organizer) and any verifier devices you authorize with a join code.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared in the following limited circumstances:
- Verifier Devices: When you share a join code, verifier devices can access your event's guest list and check-in data for the duration of the event.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services for email delivery (Resend) and cloud hosting (DigitalOcean, Neon). These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Data Retention
We retain your event data as long as your account is active. You can delete individual events at any time through the app, which permanently removes the event and all associated guest data. To delete your entire account, contact us at support@dawati.app.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in our system.
- Update or correct your profile information through the app.
- Delete your events and associated guest data.
- Request complete account deletion by emailing support.
- Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
Children's Privacy
Da'wati is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
